Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Supervisor

Mission Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for our Emergency Room in Asheville, NC. This RN leader coordinates patient flow, supports triage and critical care, and ensures evidence-based practice and quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising bedside nurses, mentoring staff, assisting with complex procedures, managing staffing and assignments, and promoting patient safety initiatives. The coordinator collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, supports patient and family education, and contributes to process improvement. Coordinate and oversee daily Emergency Room nursing operations and patient flow Supervise, coach, and mentor ER nursing staff and support personnel Assist with triage, critical care interventions, and complex patient cases Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, quality, and patient safety standards Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Manage staffing, assignments, and resource utilization for the ER Support patient and family education and discharge planning Participate in performance improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance Support orientation and ongoing competency development for ER nurses Emergency nursing care Triage and prioritization Patient assessment and critical thinking IV therapy and medication administration Cardiac and trauma monitoring Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Clinical leadership and staff supervision Care coordination and patient flow management Quality and patient safety practices Interdisciplinary team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred Previous emergency department nursing experience Leadership or charge nurse experience
