Description: American Traveler is hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner with RRT certification and prior respiratory care experience for a day shift assignment. Details Provides basic equipment-related patient assessments and coordinates DME setup for respiratory patients Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM1:1 patient ratio Epic charting system preferred Floating required in rotation with facility staff according to clinical experience and floating policies Some holiday and weekend coverage expected
Requirements:
  • Active MD license or compact RN license required
  • Current certifications: RRT and BLSMinimum 1 year of respiratory care experience preferred
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Experience with neonatal/pediatric respiratory equipment and procedures
  • Skilled in ventilator management, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, and apnea monitoring
  • Proficient in interpreting Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)
  • Experience caring for infants/children with RSV preferred
  • Skilled in airway management including ETT/NT suctioning and tracheostomy care/management
  • Experience with oxygen therapy and trach collar use

  • Coordinates equipment-related patient assessments and DME setup

  • Local candidates not accepted except with approval for Respiratory and Radiology positions at a lower bill rate
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for travel pay rateRTO must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start
  • Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after 1 year before returning to the facility
  • Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Completes orientation and annual training modules averaging 4-8 hours via the Relias/Net Learning portal
