The incumbent will also be an expert of the California Whistleblower Protection Act advising the Executive Officer on procedural and substantive matters for complex litigation brought before the SPB.

Fair Employment and Housing Act (Civil Rights)
Rules of evidence applicable to State Personnel Board Hearings
State Personnel Board regulations pertaining to hearings and appeals
State Personnel Board precedential decisions
Case law pertaining to adminstrative hearings; and
Administrative Adjudication Code of Ethics
