Job Description: Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a prominent Printing firm in the High Point, NC area, is seeking Shipping, Receiving, and Fulfillment Specialist to join their team!
Job Summary: Pay: $18 an hour Shifts Available: 1st Shift:8a-5p or 10a-6p M-FPosition Purpose The Embroidery Machine Operator / Embroidery Production Specialist is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining commercial embroidery equipment while producing accurate, high-quality decorated apparel and products. This position supports the company’s commitment to quality, accuracy, efficient production, and excellent customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Be ready to begin assigned production work within 15-20 minutes of arriving for the shift. Read production work orders and follow written and verbal instructions for daily assignments. Operate Tajima computerized multi-head embroidery machinery and other embroidery equipment as assigned. Prepare machines for production, including loading designs, selecting needles, threading machines, setting thread colors, and confirming machine settings. Hoop garments and products accurately using the proper hoop, backing, stabilizer, placement guides, and production method. Verify garment style, color, size, quantity, imprint location, thread colors, and production instructions before beginning a job. Complete and review embroidery sew-outs when required before full production. Monitor embroidery production for thread breaks, registration issues, tension problems, needle breaks, garment movement, and other quality concerns. Cross-train in embroidery department functions including trimming, steaming, folding, finishing, counting, packaging, and re-packaging. Confirm order accuracy by checking production documentation and verifying completed items by style, size, quantity, and decoration. Immediately identify and report damaged garments, production defects, equipment issues, or products unsuitable for decoration. Move completed products to the appropriate quality-control, finishing, staging, shipping, or pickup area. Maintain accurate production counts and communicate job status to production leadership. Follow all company safety procedures and complete required company training. Perform routine cleaning and basic operator-level maintenance on embroidery machines. Keep embroidery machines free of lint, thread waste, backing, oil residue, and production debris. Monitor needles, bobbins, thread, backing, stabilizers, hoops, and other embroidery supplies and report low inventory. Keep tools, thread, hoops, supplies, work-in-process, and completed orders organized in designated locations. Report unusual machine noises, recurring thread breaks, mechanical problems, or maintenance needs immediately. Clean and return the embroidery work area to proper order before the end of every shift.
Qualifications & Skills: 1+ years previous commercial embroidery or apparel-decoration production experience Required Experience operating Tajima or comparable multi-head embroidery equipment strongly preferred. Ability to read work orders and follow production specifications accurately. Understanding of embroidery placement, hooping, stabilizers/backing, thread, needles, and basic machine tension. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control. Ability to identify production problems and communicate them promptly. Basic computer skills for loading files and working with production systems. Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a production team. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Regular sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive hand movement. Work around machinery with moving parts in a warehouse/manufacturing environment. Ability to safely move garments, boxes, and production materials. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs. Must maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
