Purchasing Agent - HVAC Industry

Key Responsibilities: ProcurementSource and procure HVAC equipment, materials, and supplies from approved vendors. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to achieve cost savings. Supplier ManagementEvaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines. Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers and vendors. Project CollaborationWork closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to identify procurement needs for ongoing and upcoming projects. Order TrackingPrepare purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines. Compliance & Issue ResolutionEnsure procurement processes adhere to company policies and industry regulations. Address and resolve any issues with suppliers related to delays, defective materials, or discrepancies.

Qualifications: EducationBachelors degree in Business AdministrationSupply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred). ExperienceProven experience in procurement, ideally in the HVAC or plumbing industry. Technical SkillsFamiliarity with HVAC equipment and parts. Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software (Sage300 is preferred). Intermediate knowledge of ExcelKey Competencies: Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed procurement decisions. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and meet deadlines.
