Work Environment: SIFF requires employees reside and complete work duties within Washington State. This is a hybrid work role with a minimum of 2 days in the office located at our admin offices. Mission: SIFF is a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) arts nonprofit dedicated to the creation of vibrant experiences and spaces that champion film discovery and arts education. Beginning in 1976 with the annual Seattle International Film Festival, then expanding into year-round programming, SIFF envisions a thriving arts ecosystem where film discovery encourages a more empathetic, joyful, and connected world. In its three theaters, SIFF offers screenings and special programs throughout the year. Each role is a reflection of SIFF’s mission and commitment to the community to share vibrant films and help audiences engage in the enjoyment of film.
Job Summary: The Festival Producer oversees the operational planning, organization, and execution of SIFF’s two primary Festivals: NFFTY (April 1-4, 2027) and the Seattle International Film Festival (May 13-23, 2027). This role will be responsible for operation of venues, events, and staffing associated with both Festivals.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee end-to-end program execution, ensuring logistical excellence. Lead logistical planning, including venue selection and design, ticketing, scheduling, and staffing In conjunction with Director of Finance and Artistic Director, manage program budgets and ensure that all expenditures are accounted for per SIFF policy In conjunction with Director of Finance, ensure that all venue contracts and negotiations follow SIFF policy Manage and mentor seasonal staff, providing direction and guidance as needed Support SIFF HR with coordination of hiring of 80+ seasonal staff, maintaining proper training, documentation, and certifications Maintain regular forms and standards of communication and accountability Autonomously balance administrative work and onsite event management as required Upon conclusion of both Festivals, a post-festival evaluation and report will be completed Required Skills/Abilities:5+ years of experience in event or festival production, ideally managing a multi-event portfolio 5+ years previous experience leading and mentoring a high-performing team 3+ years previous experience managing volunteers or interfacing directly with a volunteer program 5+ years previous experience in customer service 3+ years previous experience working film festivals Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, consisting of office hours and event hours, nights, weekends and holidays Proficient in using Google Drive and Microsoft Office Must be 21 years of age or older Desired Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets of $1 million or more Familiarity with event and festival software and technology Ability to work collaboratively with diverse or rotating stakeholders Have in depth knowledge of industry standards for event and festival operations Be organized and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and delegate Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to direct and navigate issues adaptively and effectively Have the ability to remain calm under stress and high pressure situations Benefits and Expectations This is a full-time FLSA overtime non-exempt positionWA State Sick leave Access to discounts and passes to some SIFF programming and events hosted by neighboring Arts organizations This role is not eligible for benefits coverage
