Employment Litigation Associate (Hybrid) Help employers navigate high-stakes workplace disputes while building a deeper litigation practice. An established law firm is looking for an Employment Litigation Associate to handle complex workplace claims, advise employer clients, and represent businesses in state and federal proceedings. The practice spans discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, restrictive covenants, trade secrets, and other employment-related matters. What You'll Do:
Defend employers in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
Take and defend depositions and manage discovery.
Represent employers in agency investigations, administrative proceedings, and arbitration.
Advise clients on litigation strategy, legal risks, mediation, and settlement.
Manage cases through different stages of litigation.
What You'll Need:
J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.3–5 years of litigation experience and solid skills in drafting, discovery, and depositions.
Active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with the ability to obtain North Carolina licensure within one year.
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Strong references from current or former supervising attorneys.
Employment litigation experience. Substantial business or commercial litigation experience will also be considered.
