Street Technician

Street Technician This position performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties related to the maintenance and improvement of City streets, alleys, drainage systems, rights-of-way, grounds, and other City property and infrastructure. Duties include pothole and minor roadway repairs, street and alley maintenance, drainage and culvert cleaning, vegetation control, traffic control, sign installation and maintenance, snow and ice removal, debris cleanup, and operation of vehicles, tools, and equipment. The Street Technician may also assist with emergency response, special events, and projects throughout the City. Applicants must be able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions and safely operate assigned tools and equipment. A valid driver's license is required. Applicants must successfully complete all City pre-employment requirements, including a background check and drug screening.
