Position Summary:
The Box Machine Operator assists with the setup, calibration, and operation of box-manufacturing equipment used in carton production. This position monitors machine performance, inspects finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools, and identifies and corrects minor machine malfunctions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Unload parts, inspect them for quality, and perform equipment setup.
- Operate various equipment to meet production and business needs.
- Maintain an adequate stock of materials and machine parts.
- Determine the parts to be manufactured based on production requirements, orders, and inventory levels.
- Observe and monitor machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Operate forklift (training provided)
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) credential preferred.
Three or more years of machine-operating experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet applications.
Basic analytical, prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project-management, and planning skills.
Basic verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.
Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to use a wide variety of hand tools; basic knowledge of power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torches.
Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Physical Aspects / Work Environment:
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk, hear, and see.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly or occasionally.
Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Regular or occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold and heat, electrical-shock risk, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
The work environment may have a high noise level.
