4K Teacher

Responsibilities: Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with 4K learning standards Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment Support children's academic, emotional, social, and behavioral development Conduct classroom assessments and maintain accurate student documentation Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and classroom updates Utilize curriculum and classroom management strategies that promote school readiness Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and safety standards Collaborate with administration and teaching staff to support program goals Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, outdoor play, and transitions Participate in staff meetings, trainings, conferences, and professional development opportunities Ensure compliance with Wisconsin DCF licensing regulations and Kid Town Academy policies

Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred Wisconsin DPI licensure or eligibility for licensure preferred Minimum of 1–2 years experience working in an early childhood or preschool classroom Strong classroom management and communication skills Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Ability to create engaging lesson plans and hands-on learning experiencesCPR, First Aid, SBS, and AHT certifications (or willingness to obtain)Must pass all required background checks Reliable, professional, patient, and team-oriented

Preferred Skills: Experience with 4K curriculum planning and assessment Familiarity with Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards Strong parent communication and leadership abilities Experience using Brightwheel, Procare, or similar childcare management systems

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Program Hours: 7:45 AM – 3:30 PMAdditional hours may be available based on center needs
