In this onsite position, you’ll work with 3rd to 5th grade learners as part of an Autism Program, collaborating closely with a dedicated team of 2-3 paraprofessionals. The caseload consists of 10 students, offering a manageable environment where individualized attention can thrive. Qualifications:
  • Valid Illinois Special Education (SPED) license
  • Experience in special education classrooms, preferably with autism spectrum disorders
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Enthusiasm for fostering a positive, inclusive classroom culture
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored instruction to meet each student’s unique needs
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, staff, and families to support academic and social-emotional growth
  • Develop, implement, and update IEPs in line with best practices
  • Utilize data to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
