Part Time Driver
Reports to: Head Maintenance Mechanic and/or Director of Maintenance/Operations52 week position
Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and move mail, boxes, and supplies
Attitude Requirements: Must have a cooperative, friendly personality. This Position will deal directly with administrators, building principals, maintenance and custodial staff, and the general public. "Whatever-It-Takes" attitude is a must.
Essential Duties: (non-prioritized):Pick up and deliver mail, interoffice correspondence, packages, and other materials between schools and district facilities. Sort and organize incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries. Ensure documents, packages, and sensitive materials are delivered accurately and securely. Maintain a consistent and dependable delivery schedule. Operate a district vehicle safely and responsibly while following all applicable traffic laws and district policies. Load, unload, and transport materials as needed. Communicate professionally with school staff, administrators, and other district personnel. Assist with other general duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to lift and carry packages and supplies as required. Ability to work indoors and outdoors and travel between district buildings in varying weather conditions.
Work Environment: This position is part-time but will have a regular schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:00 am 1:00 pm. This position involves regular travel between district buildings and interactions with staff. A company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel during scheduled work hours. Occasional overtime will be available for out-of-town events. The successful candidate should be dependable, courteous, safety-conscious, and able to represent the school district in a professional manner.
