About the Opportunity:
Implementation Engineers is seeking a hands-onMES & Torque Controls Integration Engineerfor an onsite consulting engagement supporting an aerospace manufacturing digital workstream. This role requires direct experience configuring manufacturing execution systems (MES) and configuring, troubleshooting, or integrating industrial torque controllers within a discrete manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has personally built and deployed shop-floor workflows, connected production equipment to MES, and supported production troubleshooting and go-live. Experience withPico, Tulip, or Plexis preferred; hands‑on experience with other discrete manufacturing MES platforms will also be considered. You will work directly with operations, engineering, quality, maintenance, and IT teams to implement practical solutions that improve assembly execution, production visibility, and traceability.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and deploy MES workflows supporting assembly and fastening operations.
Build and configure operator interfaces, digital work instructions, process checks, and production data collection.
Integrate torque controllers with MES to capture fastening results, pass/fail status, and production traceability.
Configure and troubleshoot torque tooling, controller settings, equipment communication, and system interfaces.
Troubleshoot MES configuration and operator workflow issues on the shop floor.
Validate that torque results and production records are accurately captured and associated with the correct assembly or work order.
Support equipment and system testing, production deployment, operator training, and go-live.
Work with client teams to resolve issues affecting throughput, quality, and process reliability.
Document configurations and provide practical handoff guidance for ongoing support.
Required Qualifications:
Hands‑on MES configuration experience, including personally building production workflows, configuring operator interfaces or digital work instructions, and supporting shop‑floor deployment.
Direct experience configuring, troubleshooting, or integrating industrial torque controllersfrom one or more of the following:
- Kolver
- DesoutterIngersoll Rand
- Experience connecting production equipment to MES for data collection, process verification, and traceability.
- Experience troubleshooting equipment communication and manufacturing system integration issues.
- Strong understanding of torque‑controlled assembly, fastening processes, and assembly quality requirements.
- Ability to describe specific MES configurations and torque controller implementations personally completed.
- Bachelor痴 degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with shop‑floor and technical teams.
- U.S. citizenship required due to client security requirements.
- Availability to workonsite Monday芳riday .Preferred QualificationsHands‑on experience withPico, Tulip, or Plex .Aerospace and defense, automotive, industrial equipment, or other complex discrete manufacturing experience.
- Experience integrating MES and torque systems with PLCs, SCADA systems, or quality and traceability databases.
- Experience supporting production launches, manufacturing system deployments, and go‑live troubleshooting.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
Compensation & Travel:
Competitive daily rates.
Approved project travel expenses reimbursed, including airfare, hotel, rental car, mileage, and per diem in accordance with project guidelines.
Invoices and approved expenses paid biweekly.
Travel home on weekends supported in accordance with project arrangements.
