They are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Machinist to join their team and help build and maintain the tooling that supports critical production operations.
Position Summary: The Tool & Die Machinist will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, debugging, modifying, and repairing tooling components using a variety of conventional and CNC machining equipment. This role supports production schedules by ensuring tooling meets design specifications, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Interpret blueprints, sketches, concepts, and verbal instructions to fabricate dies, fixtures, jigs, and tooling. Machine tooling components according to engineering drawings while meeting quality and production objectives. Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments and gauges. Operate conventional tool room machinery, including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM equipment. Demonstrate a basic understanding of CNC equipment, including Wire EDM, CNC Machining Centers, and CNC Sinker EDM machines. Assist with first-piece inspections during tool tryouts and production runs. Troubleshoot tooling performance issues and implement corrective actions. Follow company quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures. Read work orders, engineering drawings, and work instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately.
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with tool room equipment, including: Manual drill presses Manual milling machines Band saws Lathes Surface grinders Radius dressers Conventional EDM equipment Heat treatment processes Precision measuring equipment Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting tooling development, maintenance, or repair in a manufacturing setting. Exposure to CNC machining and EDM technologies. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Compensation$50,000 - $75,000/year Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Healthcare benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, financial protection benefits, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options. 401k retirement account access is offered starting on the 90th day with employer matching after one year of service. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
