Key responsibilities:
Lead high-fidelity CFD analysis to characterize aerodynamic performance for various defense industry hardware
Establish shared analysis standards and document procedures for CFD-based aerodynamic database development
Validate CFD models against wind tunnel and flight test data, leading investigations into discrepancies
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
8+ years of experience in performing and leading CFD analysis in a product-centric environment
Proficiency with aerospace/defense CFD solvers and meshing tools, such as CFD++, STAR-CCM+, and Pointwise
Experience validating CFD results against wind tunnel or flight test data and working with real flight hardware
Programming proficiency in Python or MATLAB for CFD automation and data reduction
