- 10 years of experience in lab infrastructure engineering, hardware validation, or test lab environments
- Hands-on experience working with consumer electronics, embedded systems, or prototype devicesSecondary (Good to Have):
- CI/CD test infrastructure (e.g., Jenkins) | Basic scripting knowledge (Python or Shell)
- Exposure to Android/iOS debugging tools (ADB, Logcat) | Familiarity with networking and device provisioningPOSITION OVERVIEWOperating within the Systems Engineering department and reporting to engineering leadership, this role serves as the operational backbone for lab infrastructure, prototype bring-up, and test execution. The incumbent will resolve critical business problems related to device farm uptime, continuous integration pipeline reliability, and hardware-software debug bottlenecks to accelerate product validation cycles.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up, configure, and maintain prototype hardware devices, test systems, and associated lab infrastructure including racks, cables, and power/network connectivity.
- Manage and monitor prototype device farms used for automated testing workflows, ensuring systems remain test-ready for continuous integration (CI) pipelines.
- Execute hardware, firmware, and system-level test procedures while supporting debugging efforts by isolating hardware versus software issues.
- Investigate and troubleshoot device failures, connectivity issues, and test anomalies, collaborating with engineering teams to capture logs and perform root-cause analysis.
- Maintain rigorous lab organization, safety standards, and inventory tracking for devices, cables, and consumables while documenting configurations and test results.
