Project Engineer

Role Description: The Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Schaumburg, IL. This position supports project managers and field teams by coordinating technical details, preparing and reviewing drawings and specifications, and assisting with project planning and scheduling. Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking project progress, managing documentation and submittals, supporting procurement of materials and equipment, and helping resolve technical issues during construction. The Project Engineer will communicate regularly with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and quality standards. The role also involves monitoring work for compliance with design intent, safety requirements, and company procedures.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong Project Engineering skills to support technical aspects of construction projects. Candidates should possess Project Management and Project Planning skills to help coordinate schedules, resources, and deliverables. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaboration with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Experience in commercial or industrial construction environments is beneficial. Proficiency with construction documents, CAD or modeling tools, and project management software is an advantage. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
