What you'll be challenged to do: GFT is seeking an emerging or established engineering leader with experience in roadway engineering and project management. This role has opportunity to grow from a technical focus into management and business-related functions. This role will be responsible for the design and preparation of plan submittals related to highway and arterial roadway design, complex intersection design, local roadways, site design, bridge replacement/rehabilitation, traffic design, drainage design for NDOT, MoDOT, KDOT and Iowa DOT and other various DOTs and municipal agencies. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Project Management Oversee Team Members Employee Management Financial Responsibilities Business Development Coordination with others What you will bring to our firm: Bachelor's degree in the Civil engineering field required. Minimum of 15 years' professional roadway engineering experience. Experience leading a team. Registered as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), preferably in Nebraska or Iowa. Professional experience in design and preparation of plan submittals related to highway and arterial roadway design, complex intersection design, local roadways, site design, bridge replacement/rehabilitation, traffic design, drainage design for NDOT, MoDOT, KDOT and Iowa DOT and other various DOTs and municipal agencies. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and various engineering software systems depending on engineering discipline: Micro Station/GeoPak; OpenRoads, Land Desktop, or AutoCAD/ Civil 3D.What we prefer you bring: A minimum of 10 years design experience. Experience with NDOT and IaDOT design build.
