This is a highly visible field leadership position for a construction quality professional with strong USACE / federal construction experience and the technical background to oversee quality control from project start through completion. Qualified candidates must have: TX Professional Engineer (PE) OR graduation from an ABET-accredited engineering program 6+ years of Construction Quality Management experience 2+ years of Structural Concrete experience 2+ years of Structural Backfill experience Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications and contract requirements Ability to work directly with Project Managers, Superintendents, SSHOs and Project Engineers The Quality Control Manager will help maintain quality standards across assigned projects while serving as a technical resource and leader for QC personnel.
Key responsibilities include: Manage and perform daily project QC activities Ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and established standards Audit projects for compliance with QC procedures Coordinate QC staffing with project leadership Provide technical guidance to QC Specialists and project teams Train and develop QC/Project Engineering personnel Review contracts, subcontracts, plans and specifications Assist with development and implementation of project QC procedures Identify potential quality issues and develop corrective solutions Oversee subcontractor work and quality compliance Coordinate and conduct client quality meetings Serve as a key member of the overall project leadership team This position isn't simply about inspecting completed work. You’ll serve as a technical advisor and quality leader, helping project teams identify potential issues before they become problems and ensuring consistent execution across the project. You’ll work closely with: This is primarily a construction site-based position. Candidates should be comfortable with: Extended time on active construction sites Walking and standing for extended periods Uneven terrain and outdoor conditions Heavy equipment, tools, dust and construction materials Occasional extended hours, evenings or weekends based on project requirements Travel to project sites or company locations as needed Work on complex federal and heavy civil construction projects Join a growing national contractor Work alongside experienced construction and engineering professionals High-impact role with significant project responsibility Competitive compensation of $110K–$150K The strongest candidates will bring a combination of: USACE + CQCSM + Construction Quality Management + Structural Concrete + Structural Backfill + Engineering If you have the required USACE CQCSM certification and construction quality experience, this could be an excellent opportunity to take on a significant federal construction leadership role.
