AdventHealth is seeking a board-certified Critical Care Physician to join their innovative Tele-ICU team in a fully remote role covering multiple hospital locations. In this position, you will provide real-time critical care management and consultations for critically ill patients during overnight shifts while collaborating closely with bedside clinicians. Neuro Critical Care Medicine experience is preferred for this exciting opportunity. Practice InfoRemote role covering multiple AdventHealth hospital locations including Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Kansas, Illinois, Texas, North Carolina, and Wisconsin Tele-ICU team utilizing advanced telemedicine technology Shift & Schedule Full-Time7 PM - 7 AMNight-shift schedule Work -hour clinical shifts monthly or 180 clinical shifts yearly
Responsibilities:
  • Work -hour clinical shifts monthly or 180 clinical shifts yearly
  • Provide remote critical care consultation, management, and intervention for ICU patients across AdventHealth hospitals
  • Collaborate effectively with on-site intensivists, hospitalists, nurses, and advanced practice providers (APPs) to create comprehensive patient care plans
  • Utilize state-of-the-art telemedicine platforms for real-time patient assessments, management, and documentation
  • Respond promptly to rapid response events, critical changes, and emergencies
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide continuous vigilance to identify opportunities for intervention to improve patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records per AdventHealth policies and regulatory standards
  • Actively participate in and contribute to developing telemedicine operating procedures and protocols for telemedicine care for ICU patients
  • Stay informed of evolving best practices in critical care medicine and telehealth

Qualifications:
  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Board Certification in Critical Care Medicine
  • Board Certification in Neuro Critical Care Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted medical licenses in states serviced by AdventHealthActive, unrestricted federal Drug Enforcement Agency license
  • Minimum 5 years of bedside ICU experience
  • Telemedicine experience preferred but not required
  • Neuro Critical Care Medicine experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR), telemedicine technology, and computer skills
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead remotely during urgent clinical situations
  • Independent, self-motivated, and adept at collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
