Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid, 3 days per week in office)

$175,000 to $220,000 per year Relocation: Package available

Must-Haves
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a power or control systems focus
7+ years of experience in electrical power, power systems, or control systems engineering
Knowledge of grid integration, utility interconnection requirements, and wind power plant controls
Ability to interpret grid codes and assess plant designs and electrical studies for compliance
Knowledge of NERC reliability standards plus IEC, IEEE, and UL standards
Strong customer-facing, presentation, and technical communication skills
Experience solving complex power and control system problems
Strong Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with CAD and SAP
What You'll Do:
Review North American wind power plant designs for grid code compliance
Review customer contracts, Balance of Plant documents, and utility interconnection requirements to identify technical risks
Support technical bid engineers with value engineering and site-specific solutions
Review customer electrical studies and recommend compliance improvements
Lead engineering pre-design studies and help customers optimize project designs
Prepare Functional Design Specifications for Power Plant Controllers and other control solutions
Develop grid compliance test plans and support testing and commissioning
Support grid connection approvals and site-specific turbine and controller settings
Engage with System Operators on modeling and grid compliance
Represent the company in grid code working groups and industry forums
Track emerging grid codes and guide global product development
Train sales teams and mentor other engineers
Nice-to-Haves
Master's degree or PE license
Wind turbine or wind power plant experience
PSCAD, PSS/E, TSAT, or E-TRAN experience
Experience working across cultures and time zones in a global organization
Compensation and Benefits:
$175,000 to $220,000 per year
