Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Seeking an enthusiastic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students across multiple school sites for a contract position near Lowell, MA. This role starts in early September and runs through mid-June, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful difference throughout the academic year. Work a steady four-day per week schedule, collaborating with a supportive team to deliver occupational therapy services that benefit students' educational journeys. You'll help create positive outcomes and promote independence in a dynamic school setting.
Qualifications:
  • Active COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility) required
  • Previous experience in a K-12 or pediatric setting preferred
  • Understanding of IEPs and experience implementing related goals
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to support students across multiple school sites
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OTR/LCarry out treatment plans and support students' access to academic and daily routines
  • Document progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP reports
  • Participate in team meetings, collaborating with teachers and staff to address student needs
  • Travel between assigned schools as needed
