Responsibilities: Defend employers in employment-related litigation and administrative proceedings Handle matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies (e.g., EEOC, DOL, state fair employment agencies) Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations Advise employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Draft and review employment policies, handbooks, agreements, and contracts

Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school Active bar admission in California 5+ years of experience practicing employment law on the defense side Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations Litigation experience, including motion practice and discovery Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
