This Buyer/Planner role helps ensure materials arrive on time, inventory stays accurate, and production schedules stay on track. You'll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support day-to-day operations and keep manufacturing running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, customer service, or administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of procurement and production planning, strong analytical skills, and experience working within ERP/MRP systems (Oracle experience is a plus).
Responsibilities:
Purchase materials, parts, and services for productionCreate and track purchase ordersMonitor inventory levels and help prevent shortagesSchedule production work orders and support manufacturing timelinesCommunicate with suppliers regarding deliveries, pricing, and quality concernsResolve order, inventory, and invoice discrepanciesUpdate purchasing and planning information within the ERP systemWork with production, engineering, customer service, and quality teamsSupport continuous improvement and cost-saving initiativesSkills & QualificationsBasic understanding of purchasing, inventory, procurement, or production planningExperience working with ERP/MRP systems required (Oracle preferred) Previous manufacturing, inventory, administrative, or supply chain experience preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office, especially ExcelWhy You'll Love ItEntry-level opportunity with room for growthMix of office, planning, purchasing, and supply chain responsibilitiesCollaborative team environmentOpportunity to learn purchasing, inventory management, and production planningRed Wing, MN 1176 910 Main Street Unit 101 Red Wing, MN 55066
