Senior Nonferrous Buyer

Hours: Monday- Friday; 8am- 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the purchasing of non-ferrous scrap metals. * Develop and grow partnerships with international and domestic customers. Includes consistent communication and regular travel to meet end objectives. * Negotiating skills that combine the characteristics of a professional relationship and a well-developed strategy. * Provide excellent customer focus to result in client satisfaction. * Understand market trends within the non-ferrous metals markets. * Assist in developing strategic plans for generating new sources and sales of raw material. * Develop knowledge of scrap metal markets and the various tools necessary to compete (terminal markets, swaps, tolls, formula pricing, hedging, etc.).

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience: * Minimum of 3+ to 5+ years of successful experience in the non-ferrous scrap industry. * Extensive professional network of suppliers and customers within the non-ferrous metals industry. * The ability to excel under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, rapidly process information and make decisions based on market dynamics. * Team player with the ability to build relationships and effectively interact both internally and externally with people at all levels of the organization. * Excellent negotiations skills. * Microsoft Office experience. * Demonstrated ability to influence others and effect change. * Highest level of personal and professional integrity.
