Job Title: Senior Manager, AI Operations & Enablement
Location: New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District (On-Site)
Department: IT
Reports To: SVP, Technology & Digital Innovation About G-III Apparel Group: G-III excels at bringing excitement and confidence to customers through the fashion we create. We are global experts in design, sourcing, manufacturing, distribution and marketing, which enables us to fuel the growth of a substantial portfolio of brands. With more than 30 licensed and owned brands, including some of the most sought-after names in global fashion, our success is driven by our team’s entrepreneurial spirit and our deep relationships across the industry.
Position Summary: The Senior Manager, AI Operations & Enablement will serve as the operational leader for G-III’s enterprise AI initiatives, translating strategic priorities established by the SVP, Technology & Digital Innovation and the AI Steering Committee into structured, executable programs across the organization. This role will orchestrate the end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives across business, technology, governance, and external partners. The position will establish execution plans, manage dependencies and priorities, coordinate pilots and implementations, remove blockers, and ensure AI capabilities move from approved concepts to measurable business outcomes. Working closely with the AI Business Analyst, AI Governance lead, Metyis AI team, IT, and business stakeholders, this role will create the operating discipline required to scale AI adoption while allowing enterprise AI strategy, investment direction, and executive alignment to remain with the SVP and AI Steering Committee.
Key Responsibilities: AI Portfolio Execution & Operational Leadership Translate approved AI strategy and Steering Committee priorities into executable roadmaps, workplans, milestones, owners, dependencies, and delivery timelines. Manage the execution portfolio of AI initiatives across brands and functions, maintaining visibility into status, risks, decisions, dependencies, and next actions. Drive cross-functional accountability and ensure initiatives progress from discovery and pilot through implementation, adoption, and stabilization. Provide concise execution updates, recommendations, risks, and escalation needs to the SVP and relevant leadership stakeholders. Program & Initiative Management Establish repeatable delivery playbooks for AI pilots, third-party tools, internally developed agents/models, and workflow automations. Coordinate initiative kickoff, requirements, testing, business readiness, launch, and post-launch activities across business and technical teams. Identify delivery blockers early, resolve issues within the team, and escalate decisions requiring executive intervention. Ensure lessons learned from completed initiatives are incorporated into future delivery approaches and standards. Business Partnership & AI Enablement Partner with the AI Business Analyst on business discovery, use-case development, pilot execution, training, and adoption activities. Help translate business requirements into clear execution plans and coordinate the resources needed to deliver approved AI capabilities. Support functional leaders across Design, Marketing, Digital, Sales, Merchandising, Operations, HR, Legal, Finance, and other areas as AI initiatives move into execution. Ensure business owners understand their responsibilities, timelines, success measures, and change impacts throughout implementation. Change Management & Adoption Own the operational change plan for significant AI rollouts, coordinating stakeholder readiness, communications, training, reinforcement, and adoption activities. Partner with the AI Business Analyst to develop scalable enablement approaches, champion networks, training plans, and user support models. Monitor adoption barriers and coordinate corrective actions when solutions are technically successful but business adoption is below expectations. Metyis & Technical Delivery Coordination Serve as a primary operational interface with the Metyis AI team for approved initiatives requiring AI engineering, data, integration, architecture, or platform capabilities. Coordinate business requirements, priorities, dependencies, timelines, testing, and acceptance criteria between G-III stakeholders and technical delivery teams. Partner with internal IT teams and Metyis to ensure technical work remains aligned with business outcomes and agreed delivery priorities. Maintain sufficient technical fluency to challenge assumptions, surface dependencies, and translate between business and engineering teams without acting as the solution architect or engineer. Governance & Operating Model Alignment Partner with the AI Governance lead to ensure initiatives follow approved intake, prioritization, governance, risk, and measurement frameworks. Operationalize governance requirements within project plans and ensure required checkpoints are completed before initiatives advance. Support accurate portfolio and use-case reporting by providing delivery status, implementation milestones, adoption information, and issue visibility. Escalate governance, privacy, security, legal, data, or architectural concerns to the appropriate owners rather than independently redefining standards. Measurement & Value Realization Ensure each initiative has clear business outcomes, baseline measures, success criteria, and accountable business owners before execution begins. Partner with the AI Business Analyst and Governance lead to track time savings, cost reduction, quality improvement, adoption, and other agreed value measures. Monitor post-launch performance and coordinate actions when expected business outcomes are not being realized. Translate delivery progress and measured outcomes into concise operational insights for leadership review. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Create scalable processes, templates, and standards that improve the speed and consistency of AI delivery across the organization. Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce execution friction, and improve collaboration across business, IT, governance, and external partners. Continuously improve the AI delivery model as the enterprise portfolio, technology landscape, and organizational maturity evolve.
