Overview:
We're seeking a detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Specialist to support a busy finance team. The role covers a range of finance and accounting areas, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, accounts payable/receivable, and collections. It's a great opportunity for an early-career professional to gain broad exposure across the finance function.
Responsibilities:
- Run financial reports and prepare supporting information for tax schedules and filings
- Support the preparation and submission of state and local tax filings and extensions
- Prepare the daily cash balance report and assist with cash transfers
- Monitor banking activity and follow up on outstanding checks and unclaimed property requirements
- Assist with preparing financial reports and ensure transactions are recorded accurately
- Review incoming correspondence and route or resolve requests as needed
- Provide administrative support to finance leadership, including records management and filing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)1–3 years of finance or accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills to spot discrepancies, trends, and potential issues
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn financial systems and software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
