I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Insurance Defense / Coverage Attorney to join an established Phoenix litigation practice with deep roots in Arizona and a strong reputation for sophisticated defense work. The team has decades of experience representing insurance carriers and other clients in complex litigation, with significant depth in insurance defense, insurance coverage, bad-faith matters, professional liability, and general litigation. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced trial attorneys while taking on meaningful responsibility for your own caseload and building long-term earning potential.
What You'll Do:
- Handle insurance defense and/or insurance coverage matters from inception through resolution
- Represent insurance carriers and clients in litigation, negotiations, mediations, and other proceedings
- Analyze coverage issues and provide legal guidance regarding insurance claims
- Handle bad-faith litigation and related insurance disputes, depending on experience
- Draft pleadings, motions, coverage opinions, discovery, and other litigation documents
- Take and defend depositions
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of litigation experience
- Insurance defense, insurance coverage, bad faith, or related litigation experience preferred
- Strong candidates with 15+ years of experience and partners are welcome to apply
- Arizona Bar admission preferred/required based on position
- Strong writing, research, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage litigation matters
- Strong client-service and case-management skills
- Why Consider This Opportunity?$30,000–$60,000+ bonus potential, with additional upside based on revenue generated
- No traditional hard billable-hour requirement
- Insurance Defense attorneys: approximately 2 days onsite per week
- Coverage attorneys: approximately 2–3 days onsite per month initially, with potential to transition to fully remote
- Manage a meaningful caseload with approximately 10–40 matters, depending on practice area and experience
- Work alongside attorneys with substantial trial experience
- Established Arizona practice with 45+ years of history
- Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $165,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may incucation, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Additional bonus compensation may provide $30,000–$60,000+ in annual earning potential, based on revenue generated and individual performance.
