Administrative Management and General Management Consulting ServicesTemporary Help ServicesOther Management Consulting ServicesOur client is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support strategic sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain operations across multiple business units. This role will be responsible for facilitating the procurement of materials and services, managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, supporting inventory replenishment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and SOX requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain professional with SAP experience who enjoys working cross-functionally with stakeholders, suppliers, project teams, and accounts payable to ensure operational efficiency and continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
Review procurement requests for completeness and convert approved requests into purchase orders. Manage replenishment activities for stock and non-stock materials based on system-generated reports and inventory requirements. Analyze inventory levels, usage trends, order quantities, and min/max thresholds to recommend replenishment actions. Support sourcing events by soliciting bids, evaluating supplier proposals, analyzing quotations, and preparing recommendations. Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve purchasing issues, expedite orders, manage returns, and address pricing discrepancies. Oversee logistics activities related to capital projects and material deliveries to warehouses and job sites. Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice issues, payment processing concerns, and invoice holds. Maintain and update pricing on blanket purchase orders. Review material forecasts with planning teams to ensure materials are ordered and delivered according to project schedules. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying new sourcing opportunities. Ensure procurement activities are compliant with company policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements. Provide supply chain and work management support to internal business partners. Participate in supplier relationship management initiatives and facilitate communication between suppliers and business stakeholders. Support emergency and storm restoration efforts when required, including occasional after-hours work. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum of 3 years of supply chain, procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or work management experience. Experience working with ERP, procurement, or work management systems. Minimum 1 year of SAP S/4HANA experience required. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
