Research Analytical Chemist

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Pay Rate: $30.00–$40.00 per hour

Responsibilities: Perform routine analytical testing using established laboratory methods and procedures. Read, interpret, and independently execute analytical methods. Support laboratory and site personnel with general analytical questions. Shift priorities efficiently in response to analytical issues or urgent support needs. Document and summarize analytical results in clear written reports for audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge. Learn routine analytical testing on systems outside of current direct experience. Work independently while seeking support when questions or issues arise.

Required Qualifications: Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline. Experience using Open LabCDS version 2.8. Proficiency with at least twoof the following analytical techniques or instrument systems: Gas Chromatography (Agilent):Direct injection, headspace, or SPME with FID and/or mass spectrometry. Liquid Chromatography (Agilent):UV-Vis, ELSD, and/or mass spectrometry. FT-IR and/or FT-NIR:Thermo Fisher systems. TGA and/or DSC:Waters systems. Metrohmtitrators with OMNIS software, including Dosimatand Karl Fischer analysis. Ability to learn and perform routine analyses on equipment not previously used. Strong written communication and documentation skills. Ability to manage a steady workload while adapting to changing analytical and site-support priorities.
