Retail Sales Associate

Journeys is hiring a Part-Time Sales Associate to join our youthful, fashion-forward team. In this on-site role, you’ll create an energetic, welcoming experience for teen and young adult shoppers, helping them find footwear and accessories that match their individual style. You’ll engage customers, recommend products, operate the POS, handle cash, and support daily store operations including stocking and visual merchandising. This fast-paced role builds sales, customer service, and teamwork skills, with opportunities to grow into leadership and management positions. Welcome customers and deliver friendly, fashion-focused service Assist shoppers in finding styles, sizes, and fits to match their look Operate POS system, handle cash, and process transactions accurately Maintain store appearance, including displays and fitting areas Restock shelves, organize inventory, and tag merchandise Support visual merchandising and promotional setups Meet or exceed individual and store sales goals Follow loss prevention and store safety procedures Work collaboratively with teammates and store leadership Learn product features and trends to make style recommendations Point-of-sale (POS) operation Cash handling and reconciliation Retail sales techniques Customer service Product knowledge – footwear/apparel Visual merchandising basics Inventory stocking and tagging Loss prevention awareness Basic computer skills Upselling and cross-selling Retail sales or customer service training (preferred) Cash handling or POS training (preferred)
