About the Opportunity: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and assisting with accounts payable, inventory-related reporting, and financial documentation. The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support daily accounts payable activities
  • Match incoming invoices with appropriate supporting documentation
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure timely processing and payment
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and accounting-related issues
  • Reconcile bank accounts, subledgers, and general ledger accounts
  • Communicate with vendors and respond to invoice and payment inquiries
  • Assist with inventory spreadsheet updates and reporting
  • Provide supporting documentation for annual audits
  • Assist with special projects and departmental initiatives as needed
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties to support efficient department operations
  • Qualifications & Skills
  • Working knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education & Experience:
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related experience
