Senior Counsel - Litigation Attorney

Duties: Independently manage complex civil and commercial litigation matters. Represent clients in court, mediations, arbitrations, and other adversarial proceedings. Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with client goals. Draft and argue motions, briefs, and other court filings. Lead discovery, including depositions of fact and expert witnesses. Participate in and lead mediations and settlement negotiations. Manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently. Contribute to business development and thought leadership efforts. Mentor and supervise attorneys, paralegals, and staff.

Requirements: Advanced written and verbal advocacy skills. Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities. Significant deposition and jury trial experience. Client-focused with strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications: Active Bar membership in Nebraska; Iowa licensure strongly preferred. Skills 7+ years of litigation experience, including motion practice, complex discovery, depositions, mediation, and trial work. Experience in medical malpractice, employment law, commercial litigation, or civil litigation. Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and mentor team members.
