In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion equipment in alignment with our quality, safety, and production standards. Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate extrusion machines according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), schedules, and order specifications. Coordinate with setup operators during teardowns and new setups. Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor machines, materials, and environmental conditions to detect issues and ensure smooth operation. Make real-time adjustments as needed. Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet customer and internal quality standards. Document all findings and take corrective action when necessary. Documentation & Reporting: Accurately record production data and follow all required documentation protocols. Preventive Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks to maintain machine efficiency and workplace safety (5S practices). Support general upkeep of the production area. Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety protocols, SOPs, Control Plans, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to ensure a safe work environment. Other Duties as Assigned: Support the team with additional tasks, including training new employees and assisting with process improvements.
Additional Responsibilities:
Operate forklifts and powered hand trucks to load materials and transport finished goods Perform operator-level preventive maintenance on machines and tools
What You Bring:
High school diploma or GED required 3-5 years of industrial experience preferredOSHA-certified forklift operation experience (stand-up and walk-behind trucks)Basic mechanical aptitude with experience using hand/power tools and measuring instruments (tape measure, caliper & micrometer)Understanding of raw materials, production flow, and quality control practices Computer proficiency, especially in M3 systems or similar ERP platforms Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety Pay Transparency The salary range for this position is $24.23 an hour. On the job training available, with skill-based increases up to $32.94 an hour. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
