Long-Term Acute Care Registered Nurse (LTAC RN)

Deliver high-quality LTAC nursing care to medically complex patients in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient status, vital signs, and responses to treatments in the electronic medical record Administer medications, infusions, and advanced therapies safely, following hospital and regulatory guidelines Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop, implement, and update individualized care plans Provide patient and family education on disease processes, care plans, and discharge needs Maintain infection control, safety standards, and proper use of ventilators and other critical care equipment Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions (codes, rapid responses) Precept and support other clinical staff, contributing to a respectful, clinician-centered culture LTAC nursing care High-acuity patient assessment Ventilator management Complex wound care IV therapy and infusions Medication administration Telemetry and cardiac monitoring Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Infection prevention and control Emergency response and code management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active, unencumbered RN license in state of practice BLS (Basic Life Support) required ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required or obtained within hire timeframe Prior LTAC, ICU, step-down, or telemetry experience strongly preferred Ventilator management and complex wound care experience preferred Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
