Opportunity Overview: Cohen's Fashion Optical is seeking a patient-focused optometrist to deliver exceptional vision care in an in-person practice in Riverhead, New York. What You'll Do: Perform comprehensive eye examinations that evaluate visual acuity, refraction, binocular vision, ocular health and patients' changing vision needs. Diagnose, manage and appropriately refer patients with ocular disease, cataracts, low-vision concerns and other conditions requiring attentive primary eye care. Use clinical testing, including visual field testing, keratometry, pretesting and optical coherence tomography, to support accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations. Fit and manage contact lens patients, offering personalized guidance that promotes comfort, healthy wear and long-term satisfaction. Educate patients on preventive eye care, treatment plans, follow-up needs, LASIK considerations and vision correction options in clear, compassionate language. Collaborate with optical and clinical team members to create a smooth, welcoming patient experience from the exam through eyewear selection and patient recall.
