Description:
American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographic Technologist for a Sleep Center requiring RPSGT or RST certification and at least one year of sleep lab experience. Details Work in a hospital-based Sleep Center performing in-center and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT)Rotating 4x 10 night shift schedule, 40 hours per week Rotating weekend shifts or all weekends if desired No major holiday coverage required
Requirements:
Minimum one year of relevant sleep lab experience Associate's Degree or certificate program completion in Polysomnographic Technology required Current BLS certification requiredRPSGT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists) or RST (American Board of Sleep Medicine) certification required License required if applicable Proficiency in oximetry, actigraphy, MSLT, and MWT procedures Experience with sleep/wake stage scoring and clinical event identification Skilled in physiologic and behavioral data correlation and equipment calibration
Additional Information:
Perform PAP interface fitting, desensitization, and patient education Prepare patients for testing and document observations per policy Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events according to professional guidelines Perform equipment cleaning, disinfection, and quality control per policy Support quality and performance improvement initiatives Provide age-specific care for all populations served in the Sleep Lab Maintain effective, professional communication with staff, patients, and providersRTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Hours per week: 40 Hours per shift: 10
