Leading system studies for utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS), the full-time Power Systems Engineer III will independently manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards and mentoring less-experienced engineers in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Perform and lead system studies, including protective device coordination, short circuit, load flows, and power quality assessments
Create equipment specifications and design collection systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards
Write reports and present findings, solutions, and project updates to clients and stakeholders
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or greater in Electrical Engineering or a related field
5+ years of experience in power systems analysis
Advanced knowledge of power systems analysis software tools such as ETAP, CDEGS, or similar
EIT Certificate or PE Licensure is desirable
Experience with Python or similar programming languages for process automation is preferred
