Special Education Teacher - Cicero, ILMake a meaningful impact in the lives of K-8 students as an IEP Case Manager in Special Education. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work in an inclusive, collaborative environment near Cicero, IL. You'll be supporting a diverse group of students with varying needs, helping to develop, coordinate, and manage Individualized Education Programs that allow each learner to reach their full potential.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Current LBS1 endorsement is a must
  • Previous experience as a case manager is preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Dedicated to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning space
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary case manager for a varied caseload of K-8 students
  • Develop, implement, and update IEPs to ensure compliance and student success
  • Coordinate and attend IEP meetings with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies and interventions as needed
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation and communicate progress to all stakeholders
  • Offer guidance and support to colleagues regarding best practices in special education
