Training for the position may take place during 1st shift hours (6am - 2:30pm) for approx. 1 - 3 weeks.
Responsibilities
Mixing Technician (Chemical Operator):
Role Definition: As a Mixing Technician (Chemical Operator) you will be responsible and accountable for the safe and efficient mixing of batches of chemical materials by adding raw materials into a mixing pot. This role requires a moderate amount of overtime throughout the week and sometimes on Saturdays.
Responsibilities Description:
- Adhere to quality and safety systems and standards
- Handle hazardous raw materials and products with appropriate care and precaution
- Monitor process conditions and equipment
- Participate in the creation and the maintenance of a clean work area
Job Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School education or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience operating a fork truck is a plus
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment or clean room is preferred
- Willing and able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Willing and able to work in a restricted, electrically classified area for use of flammable and combustible materials
- Able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs
