As a Protection & Control Engineer III, this full-time remote position will design high-voltage substation protection and control systems, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with quality standards while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams on complex utility projects.
Key responsibilities: Design substation protection and control systems, including one-line and three-line diagrams, and relay protection schemes Develop equipment specifications and cost estimates for engineered equipment procurement Participate in client meetings and site visits to present engineering solutions and resolve technical issues
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution 4-7 years of experience in Substation Protection & Control design engineering Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Experience mentoring junior engineers and designers
