Our client is a well-established national general contractor with a strong presence across the Northeast and a growing portfolio of complex commercial construction projects throughout New Jersey. They are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Rahway, NJ. This position will play a key role in managing projects from preconstruction through completion while working closely with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and field leadership. This opportunity is well-suited for a Senior PM who is comfortable taking ownership of large-scale projects, managing project teams, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders. Project & Market Focus: Ground-up and large-scale commercial construction Healthcare, senior living, multifamily, and other complex commercial projects Projects throughout New Jersey and the surrounding Northeast market Strong focus on quality, schedule, budget, and client relationships
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects from preconstruction through final completion
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and overall project plans
  • Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout, and contract administration
  • Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field leadership throughout construction
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Monitor project costs, schedule performance, and overall execution
  • Identify and resolve project issues while maintaining project objectives
  • Lead project meetings and communicate regularly with internal leadership and clients
  • Mentor and support Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and other team members
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
  • Strong background managing ground-up construction projects
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, contracts, and cost control
  • Experience managing subcontractors and project teams
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
