Manual Machinist 2nd & 3rd Shift

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Manual Machinist will operate a variety of traditional machining equipment to produce, repair, and finish metal components according to blueprints, technical drawings, dimensions, and specified tolerances. The ideal candidate is comfortable independently setting up and operating manual equipment, performing precision measurements, and completing machining operations in a production or shop environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and drill pressesPerform turning, milling, threading, boring, drilling, and grinding operationsPerform dynamic balancing as requiredRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specificationsMachine and assemble components according to required dimensions and tolerancesUse precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other gaugesVerify dimensions and tolerances throughout the machining processMake machine setup adjustments using traditional gauge-based methodsOperate welding equipment as required, including MIG, TIG, Stick, and Oxy-AcetylenePerform metal spray processes as neededDocument measurements, calculations, and completed work according to company standardsTroubleshoot machining and mechanical issues in both standard and non-standard situationsMaintain safe equipment-operation and shop practicesWork independently while collaborating effectively with other team membersAVAILABLE SHIFTS2nd Shift: 3:30 PM 11:00 PM3rd Shift: 10:30 PM 7:00 AMTwo Openings Per ShiftIMPORTANTThese openings require strong manual mill and/or manual lathe experience. CNC experience alone does not qualify. Candidates must already possess the hands-on manual machining skills necessary to operate and set up traditional manual equipment.
