OPS PERSONNEL TECHNICIAN II - 72901416 The Department of Management Services is seeking a part-time Personnel Technician to join the Office of Human Resources. This position will be responsible for assisting the Training Coordinator and HR professionals with administrative duties. Maintaining confidentiality is essential to success in this position. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Training Preparation: Assist with the logistical setup for in-person training sessions, including organizing training packets, printing handouts, and setting up the physical training space. Research & Outlining: Conduct basic research on assigned topics and help draft preliminary outlines for new training modules/sessions. Course Development Support: Work alongside the Professional Development Coordinator to proofread materials, organize slide decks, and gather resources for overall course development. Accessibility Updates: Assist in formatting documents, presentations, and digital content to meet Section 508 accessibility standards (e.g., adding image alt-text, ensuring focus order/heading structure, and including close captions). Training on Section 508 compliance will be provided. General Administrative Support: Perform basic data entry and other administrative tasks as needed by the HR office. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality. Ability to effectively communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, members of the HR team, and in group presentations and meetings. Ability to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently. Ability to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to be dependable, able to follow instructions, and responsive to direction. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to monitor work for quality. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Strong customer service principles.
Minimum Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)Excellent written and verbal communication skills
