This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position with starting pay from $1,800+ per week for qualified drivers who meet strict safety and compliance standards. Heavy Weight Freight is owned and operated by former and active drivers with real field experience. Position Details:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • (Strict – No Exceptions)
  • Must be 25 years of age or older
  • Valid CDL Class ANo accidents within the past 5 years
  • No moving violations
  • No DUI / DWICurrent DOT Medical Examiner's Card
  • Minimum verifiable CDL experience preferred
  • Must pass:
  • Pre-employment drug screeningFMCSA Clearinghouse query
  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) reviewPSP (Pre-Employment Screening Program) review
  • Background screening (as permitted by law)
  • Driver Responsibilities
  • Operate semi-truck safely and legally
  • Maintain full compliance with FMCSA regulations
  • Properly use and maintain ELD system
  • Follow Hours of Service (HOS) rules
  • Conduct and document:
  • Pre-trip inspections (49 CFR 396.13)
  • Post-trip inspections (49 CFR 396.11)
  • Report violations or roadside inspections within 24 hours
  • Maintain clean equipment
  • Safely secure cargo
  • Turn in BOLs and required paperwork on time
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch and brokers
