Role Description: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role at AMBERWELL LIMITED is a full-time, remote position responsible for leading all financial operations and strategy. The CFO will oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning to support the company’s restaurant operations and growth initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial reporting cycles, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, and providing clear analysis and recommendations to senior leadership. The CFO will develop and maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards, and supervise the finance team and external advisors as needed. This role partners closely with executive leadership to evaluate investments, optimize cost structures, and drive data-informed decisions that improve profitability and resilience.
Qualifications: Strong expertise in Finance, including strategic financial management in a multi-location or hospitality/restaurant environment. Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, with experience in forecasting, cash flow modeling, and long-term financial strategy. Ability to prepare, review, and interpret Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clarity for internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated capability in Financial Reporting, including management reports, board reports, and regulatory/ compliance reporting. Excellent Analytical Skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and familiarity with tax and regulatory requirements. Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a remote or distributed environment. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decisions at the executive and board levels. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are highly beneficial. Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail sector is an advantage, along with a track record of supporting growth and operational improvement.
