Responsibilities:

Evaluate residents to identify occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders, clinical findings, and patient goals.
Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to improve residents' strength, coordination, mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), and overall independence.
Provide therapeutic activities and exercises focused on improving functional abilities, including dressing, grooming, bathing, transfers, and other daily activities.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to support optimal outcomes.
Complete accurate and timely documentation, participate in discharge planning, and provide education to residents and families regarding safety, adaptive techniques, and home exercise programs.
Recommend and assist with the use of adaptive equipment and other strategies to improve residents' independence and quality of life.
Collaborate with physical therapists, PTAs, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
Maintain compliance with professional standards, facility policies, safety requirements, and infection-control procedures. Qualifications Arizona State Board of Occupational Therapy License
Successful completion of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) examination.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
