RN First Assistant

Provide and coordinate patient care as an RN First Assistant in the Main Operating Room at Mercy St. Louis Hospital, a Level I Trauma and Burn Center. Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams across a wide range of surgical services while maintaining patient rights, confidentiality and professional accountability. Provide patient care using the nursing process. Assist surgeons and support perioperative care in the Main Operating Room. Maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinate patient care with other departments. Protect patient rights and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
