Sr. Process Engineer

Location: Various locations in the Midwest and Virginia

Travel: Up to 75%Pay Rate: 110K-165K (negotiable based on experience)Musts (qualifications):7-10+ years of hands-on industrial process engineering experienceB.S. in Engineering required, Chemical Engineering preferred Experience with heat & material balances, process optimization, and troubleshooting Process design, commissioning, start-up, and plant support experience Strong data analysis skills using plant operating data Experience leading cross-functional engineering and operations teams Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%)Plusses: Chemical Engineering degree Process modeling software experience Technology development, R&D, or pilot testing experience Large-scale environmental controls experience (FGD systems, emissions controls)Laboratory experience and statistical analysis Foundry coke, steel, chemical, manufacturing, or energy industry experience Heavy industrial manufacturing/process plant experience Strong process optimization and troubleshooting background Experience supporting new technology development and capital projects Day to Day: Develop and test new technologies and process improvements Analyze plant data to improve efficiency and troubleshoot operational issues Lead field trials, proof-of-concept testing, and technology implementation Support capital projects from concept through startup and commissioning Work with operations, engineering, vendors, and customers on process improvements Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders
