Senior Electrical Estimator A well-established local electrical contractor is looking to add an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to their team. The company has a strong backlog of local commercial and industrial projects and is looking for someone who can independently manage estimates and help the company win new work. This is a great opportunity for an experienced estimator who knows the local market and wants to take on a key role with an established local contractor.
Responsibilities:- Lead estimates for local commercial and industrial electrical projects
- Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents
- Complete detailed material and labor takeoffs
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Develop accurate and competitive project estimates
- Identify project risks, exclusions, and opportunities
- Develop bid strategies and final proposals
- Work closely with Project Management, Operations, and company leadership
- Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines
- Assist with project turnover after successful bids
Requirements:- 7+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background
- Ability to independently estimate projects from plans and specifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods
- Experience with Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar software
- Strong understanding of local electrical construction and pricing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
